What is the difference between elixir mastery and potion mastery

If that is the case, complete the transmutation mastery quest, then unlearn the skill for g. After this you can go to the other npc quest givers and learn the specialization for free without a quest. Last edited by abhorsenjay; at PM. Reason: fixed some links Backups?

Very nice guide. Especially as I'm just leveling alchemy at this very instance. May I ask though, which specialization do you reckon is the most profitable? I'm thinking transmutation I'm casual so easy money in as little time as possible is preferred. But which specialization is the best for flasks? I actually just hit myself it's difficult so say. For a long time elixir mastery was the norm, however with that latest patch everyone is trying to be an elixir master and it's difficult to get stuff to sell.

I'm going to try out transmutation master and post an update, I also have a JC toon so this works nicely. Pots are not super great, better if you actually farm the mats and proc extras. As far as instant-profit goes transmutation for sure.

Either way… the cheapest option is to go to Cenarion Refuge and get the potions mastery quest 5 super mana pots, 5 super healing pots, 5 dreamless sleep pots, and a book from the 2nd boss in Botanica then pay g to drop it and go pick up transmute mastery….

I accepted from the alchemy trainer who sent me to the guy in Shatt and then I accepted the elixir master quest in BM. Abandoning that quest shows the quest giver in Shatt still offering it… with the alchemy trainer offering no option to choose one of the other specializations. Looks like I am SOL and will have to complete this quest. This item can be turned in at the Scryers or Aldor bank in Shattrath City.

Counts as both a Battle and Guardian elixir. This effect persists through death. Haste pots, destruction pots, ironshield pots… I often have to list them several days in a row to get them to sell, whereas I usually sell most of the flasks I post the same day.

History Talk 1. Categories Alchemy. RDF feed. You needed to be at least level 68 to be offered this quest. An alchemist who has specialized in one of the other two specializations could switch to this one by talking to the quest giver of their current mastery and pay a fee.

The character then had to talk to the quest giver of the mastery desired and instantly get the new mastery. This was possible only after the character has completed the quest to gain one or another of the Mastery abilities.
