Tosh or nova which should i choose

Its an interesting speculation that Hanson was infested all along- but doesn't the computer screen hint that she rushed the cure and thus infested herself? Or was the "cure" really the zerg virus itself, and that is why the monitor showed what it did? Or perhaps while she was accelerating the Infestation spreading through the colonies she used the lab to accelerate her own to try to kill James Raynor once she knew that the colony was lost- since inevitably she would be checked for infestation after what they saw on Haven.

SC2 leaves so much room for hidden background information and conspiracy theories- I hope that stuff like this is expanded upon in Heart of the Swarm. I have no way of being sure of Hanson's infestation, indeed it could have been present from the start; however that doesn't mean she was a villian.

Perhaps while searching for a cure, she was able to suppress the infestation until discovering a cure. That would explain the bad feelings about her from Tosh.

Her concern for the colonists seems rather legitimate to me and I believe helping her was the correct choice. I mean heck; a cure is possibly. Take Alexi Stukov for example. As for Tosh, the first time through I sided with Nova; I had believed her and blindly followed her, and probably Mengsk's propaganda. However, when I finally helped Tosh I truly felt I made the wrong choice the first time While they cinematic may show part of his darker destructive side, the end too me revealed some humanity left in the spectre and it clearly seemed to weigh on his mind,,, Raynors realization that is.

BehindTheMask , Aug 30, I really doubt that Hansen was infested the whole time. If she was, why would she send the distress signal from Agria in the first place?

And if she wasn't then, how could she have become infested when she was aboard the Hyperion the whole time? Yes she was a little "emotionless" but I think that's just by bad voice acting. What seems much more plausible is that the entire infestation took place while Raynor was busy cleansing the colonists on Haven.

In her anger at Raynor's choice, she locked herself in the lab and hastily tried everything she could think of with the zerg viral sample in her attempt to find a cure before Raynor could kill the colonists.

But she disregarded her own safety and inadvertently exposed herself to the virus, which quickly consumed her.

RushSecond , Sep 8, I went with Tosh on my first playthrough cause I didn't wanna help the dominion by helping Nova. As for the Haven mission, on my first playthrough I went with Protoss because well, I like them. On my second playthrough I went both Tosh and Ariel cause I didn't get to try spectres out on the first, lol, and now that I'm on my 3rd on brutal I sided with the protoss again cause basicly I like protoss and they usually have a good reason for doing something.

Unless I am wrong, please tell me and why, hopefully. Yeah pretty much. It sucks being a StarCraft lore fan because everything usually gets retconned or ignored. The attempt at ME-style choices is pretty blatant since WoL came out around the time when Mass Effect was at the height of its popularity.

Make it mostly linear, and then come the Char invasion have different characters in the missions depending on who you sided with. In a sense, Nova's abilities made her Team Blue's 'ace in the hole,' at least in Tosh's mind.

However, despite the teamwork, Team Blue began to fall apart, the reasons including Tosh's admiration for her turning into distracting attraction. Nova learned of Okyl's infatuation with Tosh, sparking hostility between the two women. Nova and Tosh kissed while out of the view of security cameras, but Academy policies forbade dating between students.

For this reason, and that Okyl had seen the interaction, he rejected Nova's further advances to protect her. Nova felt bitter at Tosh's rejection, but the two still remained close in light of an upcoming urban melee exercise against Team Red.

Tosh was downed at the hands of Obi Minaya during the simulation, but through Lio's technopathy , Team Blue came out on top. Tosh and his fellow ghosts were to be sent to the fifth planet of the Baker's Dozen along with Preceptor Lagdamen , who would act as a trainer and observer.

The Cyrus , a battlecruiser , would carry them. Commodore Georg Darabont introduced himself as a no-nonsense military man. The team was restricted to a single deck. While there, the ghosts learned various facts about the ship—the crew were regarded as cowards for having retreated from the Battle of Tarsonis , the ship had not been refitted since that battle and was considerably undergunned and was undermanned as well.

Tosh cheered everyone up with a rousing pro-Dominion speech. This convinced Darabont to head there and use the ghosts in combat, over Lagdamen's objections. The first Dominion operation was a success. The ghosts used nukes to destroy a number of zerg hatcheries.

The ghosts then rescued four Old Family heirs. However, the ghosts and marines were stranded from the Cyrus when their transport ship was destroyed while trying to pick them up, and the Cyrus headed toward a second cluster of hatcheries rather than pick them up. Despite their cloaking , the ghosts were detected by overlords , sparking a frenetic battle.

Meanwhile, the Cyrus had gotten shot down. Following the battle, Tosh reconsidered breaking up with Nova. He had done so to protect her, but only ended up hurting her. Their relationship was rekindled. While downed, the Cyrus could be repaired through the use of Lio Travski 's technopathy. However, large numbers of zerg were attacking the downed ship. The ghosts suggested Nova used her powerful psionic abilities to destroy the zerg at the second cluster of hatcheries, and Aal Cistler suggested her presence would lure the zerg away from the Cyrus.

Tosh disagreed with this plan but Nova did not, so Tosh decided to accompany her. Nova reached the hatchery cluster and began to "power up" her abilities, causing the zerg to retreat toward their hatchery cluster. Tosh had to flee out of the area, but was slowed down by fighting roaches after his cloaking ran out. Nova's cloaking also ran out, putting her in trouble. Although Tosh had not actually made it to safety, he told Nova he had.

Nova unleashed her power, killing the zerg, but also catching and severely injuring Tosh. She found him and used her psionic abilities in an attempt to save him. The Cyrus was repaired and picked up Tosh and Nova.

The former was put into an infirmary where Lagdamen scanned his brain. Meanwhile, Director Kevin Bick was ordered by Emperor Arcturus Mengsk to subject all the ghost trainees to a memory wipe as he wanted to keep the fate of the Old Family heirs secret.

The trainees were wiped, but the injured Tosh was not subjected to the process. Instead, Lagdamen told Nova that Tosh was suffering from "delusions" from an accident. Nova saw him at the Academy's infirmary. While holding a normal conversation, they also telepathically discussed the battle of Shi. However, Nova could not remember it or the rekindling of their relationship and believed it was just a delusion he was having.

Tosh said that everything would "be like before As a result of Nova Terra's mind blast, Tosh was altered. He was immune to the memory wipe procedure when the Dominion eventually tried it on him and could hide his thoughts from other mind-readers.

His eyes turned milky-white He became disillusioned with the Dominion and Ghost Academy, and felt that the situation had to change. Tosh and Kath Toom started a romantic relationship, and they discovered what had happened to her father. He had known nothing of Sector 9 , a secret organization within the Kal-Bryant Mining Conglomerate , and they learned of his betrayal at the hands of Aal and Aldeo Cistler. They claimed he revealed the information. Toom jumped into warp engines, killing himself.

However, Kath Toom's memories of these events were wiped. His mind took residence in the AI core. The son of a former Dominion senator, Colin Phash , had been forcibly inducted into the Ghost Academy. His father, Corbin , spread anti-Academy propaganda and eventually arranged a rescue mission. The two were forced to hide in the Umojan Protectorate for protection. Eventually Tosh's secret was discovered.

He faked his death in one of his first missions away from the Ghost Academy. His friends and even Emperor Arcturus Mengsk believed he was dead but the Ghost Program continued to hunt him.

Lio Travski helped save his life during this period. Tosh found himself in a slum on Tyrador IX , getting security jobs there for spending money. He came to the attention of a man whose brother, a former test subject of Project Shadowblade , had been imprisoned at New Folsom Prison.

He was told about a mind-expanding substance called terrazine. Tosh spent months seeking it. He eventually discovered it leaking out of a rift on the world of Altara.

Shortly afterward, he met General Cole Bennett , a survivor of the project. Bennett now hated the Dominion, and Tosh was able to gain the support of the Umojan Protectorate due to his contacts with former Dominion senator Corbin Phash.

Bennett and Tosh struck an agreement with the Umojans, where they would supply the spectres to launch a coup attempt against Arcturus Mengsk. Tosh had wanted to use Colin Phash as part of the coup, but the Umojans refused.

However, they spread anti-Academy propaganda with the help of Michael Liberty , making them his lifelong friends. In , [8] [12] [13] Bennett and his rebels were ready to make his move. On Altara , Tosh ambushed and captured Kath Toom, intent on having her join his cause. He had her exposed to terrazine , removed her neural implant and explained that he intended to set her "free". He was warm and tender towards her, but was aggravated at the scar left by the implant's removal, taking it out on fellow rebel Dylanna Okyl.

On Gehenna Station , he was contacted by Bennett, who chastised him for the less than complete destruction of the refinery on Altara that Toom had been captured at, worried about salvageable evidence. Tosh assured him that there was nothing to worry about. Additionally, he pressed his case to recruit Nova Terra into the rebel movement, for both personal and objective reasons.

Bennett gave Tosh permission to recruit his old comrade, while also ordering that the movement make its final move against Mengsk. He offered Toom a place in the planned assault on Augustgrad including a fiery tirade about freedom and the like , but she refused.

During the mission, Tosh was suffering from terrazine-caused problems. Keep me logged in on this device Forgot your username or password? Don't have an account? Sign up for free! Nova's hot, and Tosh has Spectres. User Info: TaintedWarrior. If you pick Nova, he leaves, and that's the end of that. So if you're interested in story development, Tosh is a good pick. If you're just into gameplay mechanics, pick between Ghost and Spectre.

Spectre can do psionic lash which does more damage than snipe, iirc after you research it.
