Why bullfighting should be banned

The animals are weakened using heavy weights, have their sight altered by petroleum and are force-fed salt to reduce their speed, making them an easier target.

They are then held in small, isolated cells, where, as research shows, they become confused and anxious, before being harpooned. This is all before they have even made it to the audience. Within the ring, the bull is agitated by picadores fighters on horseback , before being introduced to the matador, who will then attempt to bring the bull to its death.

Though there is clearly an immense amount of cruelty towards the innocent animals in this medieval form of entertainment, they are not the only ones at risk. He suffered two wounds, in his leg and groin, which were 25 and 30 centimetres deep. However, despite this injury, the fight went on, and the bull was slain by another matador. The art and tradition of bullfighting is negated by bullfighting's inherent cruelty.

Between the animal cruelty and dwindling interest, critics say it's time for bullfighting to be banned. Bullfighting is a tradition in my culture. I'm not saying it's right. But that will not change. Bullfighting would have to be prohibited because it does not benefit anyone, and otherwise harm the animal. It is a barbaric spectacle, where torture of a noble animal like the bull with a lot of disadvantageous conditions. Even if a very randomly bull gets hurt or kill one of his executioners in the "noble " fight, they never recognize their "victory" and kill him just the same. And also one of the worst thing is that the bullfighters " risk their lives " without another pretext that the money, is a real insult to people that life is played professionally, and lost, to defend society, such as firefighters and above earning much less.

Bullfightings must be prohibited because the bulls do not deserve to suffer so much or any other animal, because they did not do any harm to punish them like that. This terrible practice ought to be banned. Bullfighting is a time-honored tradition and an important part of Spanish culture and identity.

The bulls used in bullfighting are generally treated better than bulls raised for meat, and are respected in the bullfighting community. Matadors also know the risks involved in bullfighting, just as in any sport.
